Always a home use only laptop this one is easily a 9.5 out of 10. It's
gorgeous.

I dismantled the laptop and blew out any household dust from the fan or
beneath key caps.

The screen is perfect. No bruises, white spots, or scratches. It's bright
as one would expect.

The previous owner, someone I know, wanted to keep the original SSD.
That's how the new WD Black 7200 RPM drive came to be installed.
She also kept the power adapter so I'm including a new Apple OEM one.
The new hard drive and power adapter represent $140+ out of pocket expense.

I've installed High Sierra OS. The laptop is ready for use right out of the
box.

All ports work: ethernet, FireWire 800, Thunderbolt, 2 USB, SD, sound out.
The optical drive plays both CD's and DVD's. I have not tested the disc
burning feature.
Worth mentioning is the excellent quality speakers Apple put in this model.
No strain to hear conversations.
The backlit keyboard is bright as ever.
The battery has 91.8% of the Design Capacity. (5296 mAh out of 5770 mAh)
RAM is 4GB but can be expanded to 8. I'm not sure it would be necessary
beyond bragging.

This is a very nice computer. It's been extremely well cared for.

$370 shipped.
