For sale is a Late 2011 15” MacBook Pro with 2.2 Ghz. i7. This computer is a
victim of the infamous GPU failure (n this model (computer starts with a blank
grey screen (no EFI selection accessible and unable to boot from external (DVD,
Firewire or USB) drive. I. found an online article (which I will induce a print
of) on how to disable the GPU to. make the computer useable, but neither I nor
anyone else I have taken this to have been successful.

Aside from the GPU, the other major components are as follows:
RAM: original 2 GB SO-DIMMs included (separately as I have removed the RAM
upgrade that was installed.
HD: No HD is included. I had upgraded the HD to a third-party SSD which I have
since removed for data security.
Motherboard: I believe the motherboard and other components therein are
otherwise functional. Before removing the SSD, I was able to boot the computer
and access via Ethernet/WiFI/Target Disk Mode to retrieve files.
Display: Before the GPU failure there were no problems with the display
Battery: I don’t know the number of charge cycles or other statistics; but
before the GPU failure, the laptop ran for over 2 hours of normal use.
Superdrive: The internal Superdrive has been rarely used, and has never had a
problem.reading or writing to CD/DVD disks. I have no way to guarantee that it
works now, so I will have to say that it is “as is”.
Case: Normal wear with no major dents or scratches. Bottom case has all four
feet intact. Top case has large decal abstract design) surrounding (but not
blocking) Apple logo (pictures available upon request).
