Dear Nestor,
though we will probably never agree I still would like to ask you a
question. When the Taliban are being attacked by (US-)imperialism we will
certainly stand against imperialism and defend the Afghani people (because of
our weakness mostly in words of course). But do you really think that this is a
sufficient reason to keep quiet about what the Taliban are (a bunch of arch
reactionaries and enemies of the world's workin class and civilisation -
including Islamic civilisation). Saying that in such a situation (and in most
others) imperialism is the primary enemy should certainly not make us declare
that the Taliban are nice 'comrades'. I really can't understand why it is so
difficult to understand such a simple truth. And do you think that it had ever
served the standing of the socialists among the toiling masses to have denied
the reality of the Khmer Rouge in Kampuchea only because they had been
(verbally) attackes by imperialist propaganda? It#S astonishing to read such a
shortsighted comment by someone like you who writes well balanced thuings about
Argentine.
