This is insane! While the presence of thousands of middle-class people from the U.S. and Europe might make the bombing of Iraqi cities politically more costly to the imperialists, what effect would the presence of thousands of leftists from Arab countries have? Probably it would increase the benefits of such bombing to the imperialists without imposing much of a political cost on them at all!
