This is something that will not be looked at in any 9-11 US government committees. Why not? Why did the FBI not act on the information he gave? What did the US government know? Deportation Ordered For Jordanian Who Warned Of 9-11 Attacks (Bradenton, FL-AP, March 12, 2003) — A man who tried to warn FBI agents about the impending World Trade Center attack will be deported to his native Jordan, a judge has ruled. Walid Arkeh, who came to the United States when he was two months old, will be deported under a Tuesday ruling by immigration Judge Keith Williams. Williams said a child abuse conviction against Arkeh for slapping his daughter in 1999 was serious enough to rule out any consideration for political asylum. The judge acknowledged the risk Arkeh had taken to speak out about terrorism in his detailed opinion. Arkeh said he learned of the September 11 plot from three inmates incarcerated with him at the Brixton prison in London from September 2000 to July 2001. Arkeh was arrested in Britain after fleeing the United States while he faced the child abuse charge and a charge of trying to sell a stolen ring. Federal prosecutors have indicted the three inmates as co-conspirators with Osama bin Laden in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The inmates are Khalid al-Fawwaz, 37; Adel Abdel Bary, 32; and Ibrahim Eidarous, 30. After his extradition to central Florida, Arkeh said he told FBI agents in August 2001 that an attack on New York was imminent and he would exchange more information for his freedom and asylum. His request was not granted. But FBI agents returned hours after the attacks and federal authorities took Arkeh to New York City as a material witness for four months last year. Florida FBI agents dismissed Arkeh's credibility, but his New York lawyer, Labe Richman, said federal authorities there called his testimony credible. Arkeh told the judge Tuesday he did not want to appeal his deportation. "I would like to be removed as soon as possible," he said. His Orlando attorney, Barry Brumer, said Arkeh will likely return to Jordan within days accompanied by U.S. marshals. Arkeh's 12-year-old daughter and his estranged wife had appealed the judge to allow him to stay in the United States. (Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press.
