Just installed the latest version and found the following issues with
the new ".leo" directory:

1. The File Explorer application in Windows XP does not allow users to
manually create a ".leo" directory. The message "You must type a file
name" is given when trying to rename the directory from "New Folder"
to ".leo". No problem for HOME/.leo. It is created the first time
Leo is run. However, there doesn't appear to be a way for a user to
put a .Leo directory anywhere else.

2. Section "Leo's HOME directory" in Chapter 1 of the Users Guide
incorrectly states that "myLeoSettings.leo" will be placed into
the .leo directory:

"Leo puts several files in your HOME/.leo
directory: .leoID.txt, .leoRecentFiles.txt, and myLeoSettings.leo."

3. Chapter 1 also states "There are various fallback directories if
there is no home directory". I suggest either they be listed here or
provide a pointer to the list.

4. Section "Specifying settings" in Chapter 8 of the Users Guide
states that Leo will look for the "myLeoSettings.leo" file in:
The file myLeoSettings.leo in the leo/config directory.
The file myLeoSettings.leo in the user's home directory.
I think this is out of date.
