If you see any odd behavior with menus and or focus, please let me know, hopefully nothing's changed. I've just made three changes with allow the --minimize command line flag to work again, it's bugged me for ages that it's broken. One of the changes involved removing a kludge that was added to fix menu visibility in Ubuntu.
So if your menus disappear, please let me know, I was unable to reproduce the problem in Ubuntu 14.04 in Unity or xfce. Note that rather than just putting the kludge back, we should try the change suggested in https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/commit/95d3c50 and if that doesn't work, put the kludge back with a @setting to disable it.
