Great ! Good to know that it is possible to build Fink .deb with linux :)

Did you find out how to get packages with apt-get ? Maybe you have to add a 
repository to your sources.list and run apt-get update...

If you get it, I remember there is a way to install dependencies after 
runing dpkg -i :
sudo apt-get install -f

However, next step should be to write a short fink info file and ask for 
distribution, I'll try to do this these days.
