After a few hour's work, it's hard to imagine a project for which a separate git branch is more needed, or more useful. This is a highly experimental project, as I'll explain in the previous Engineering Notebook thread. Last night's works quickly showed that the project has global impacts across all gui-related classes! And somehow I've managed to break the @test batch mode test even when none of the changes are supposed to be in effect. I'll do a git bisect to find the offending commit (in the branch).
