it does use relative paths... I mean Leo uses relative paths for most stuff so moving the leo file and your 'project' or 'resources' folder to accompany it along should keep everything working fine. whatever you had going on...
if the leo file is in the folder, like most people use it, and @files , image files, whatever or anything else in the leo file uses relative paths... Everything should work fine if you move the folder. (for instance, most projects use 'git' as source control, and have a .Leo file in it, have no problem getting cloned elsewhere and they can be used (compile project or other uses) from that other path or other computer.) Perhaps there's something not clear from your description that hides the reason this is not working. Maybe show a screenshot of the folder layout and the Leo file opened beside it to see what is going on more clearly.
