I down loaded version 0.93.12 to a Cygwin Win 98 system and built
LessTif. In building I found that spaces in paths are a problem. Cygwin
is the latest and XFree86 was the latest version 4.1.0. The hardware is
a 600MHz Pentium III 256MB and the video card is an ATI Rage 128 Fury
SG TV AGP 2X 32MB. I changed the shell script startxwin.sh to use mwm
instead of twm. Results are it works, but very very slow. XFree86 was
installed from pre-built binaries down loaded from:
http://xfree86.cygwin.com.
Using twm the performance seems to be reasonable. Hope the information
is of value.
