Probably not a bad idea, but it has also been argued that this message is an additional remainder that an upgrade has been made and perhaps a re-build of software might be required (it usually isn't however). In any case this is nothing which should be exploited, first this symbol is declared w/o fixed size (by intention probably, though I don't know why it's not char *, perhaps due to a lack of "const" in Motif?) and second this warning is not a platform-independent feature and thus no recommended "programming" technique.
