No, that is not right. I reported the bug initially but upstream was
apparently on leave at the time:

He did respond to me a few weeks later but I'd lost interest by then:

So I dropped the ball on this one, sorry. Someone with sufficient
motivation should definitely pick this up and run with it. ie: work with
upstream to get it fixed. Intermittent failures are nasty!
