#2647: /bin/head should be moved to /usr/bin
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Reporter: tito_puentes | Owner: lfs-b...@…
Type: defect | Status: closed
Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.7
Component: Book | Version: SVN
Severity: normal | Resolution: wontfix
Keywords: head sed |
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Comment(by bdu...@…):
Sure about what? That I'd like to have head and tail in /bin? Yes. Are
they required by LHS, no. We do the move as the last instruction in
coreutils. I'm thinking that we should add tail to that list for the
administrator's convenience.
mv -v /usr/bin/{head,sleep,nice} /bin
Note: If you don't have /usr as a separate partition, all this discussion
is moot.
