thanks for your advice! but libtirpc 0.2.2 does not build with glibc 2.14!! i get the same error as mentionned in http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3311050&group_id=183075&atid=903784 maybe a hint in the glibc chapter to use 2.13 if rpc is needed should be added. as you can read in the comment, at least pam and nfs-utils won't build, and both are a 'no go' for me! i tried to build libtirpc just after zlib. as the glibc maintainers dropped rpc-support and recommend to use libtirpc there should be a patch somewhere, but i couldn't find it! google didn't find a solution for me - i guess i'll stick with glibc 2.13 for a while... tobias -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
