 I was just stating my understanding, not making a change proposal.  The
 idea of non-architecture dependent files in /usr/share goes back to the
 days where disks were small and expensive and /usr/share was on a remote
 system shared by all architectures.

 Today that is not really needed when m.2 SSDs are starting to approach
 $100/terabyte.
