They have pulled the jack plugin from alsa-lib, creating a new package, alsa-plugins. They added an OSS plugin, so that native ALSA will run on OSS. However, you cannot disable jack. Therefore, you cannot build the OSS plugin without installing jack.

I will proceed anyway.  Anyone else tried this?  Feedback?
