Hi all, I'm updating the Sane package and am curious about some of the text where I'm not confident it is correct. I'm not saying it is wrong, or it is right, I'm just saying I don't know and it would be nice if somebody with more knowledge could either confirm the text is accurate, or say that it needs revising (some text to revise it with would be nice).
Here is the area of concern: "Kernel Configuration To access your scanner, you will probably need the related kernel drivers or additional support packages (libusb-0.1.10a). A SCSI scanner will need SCSI drivers, a parallel port scanner needs parallel port support (you should use enhanced EPP modes) and a USB scanner will need the libusb package. Ensure you have got the necessary drivers properly configured to access the devices. " I'm especially interested in the SCSI and USB stuff. Any help would be appreciated. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 11:54:00 up 102 days, 21:18, 3 users, load average: 0.02, 0.02, 0.15 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
