I kind of like Tushar's thing, although if you have to go back into
/tools to work on something your specs file is hammered.  Greg's
solution requires a bit more typing, but is a cleaner break from Ch.

I'm not testing it yet.  Maybe not for a couple days.  I was playing
around with it, then just decided to go full blown analysis.

Awesome, and I totally agree about the coolness of manconfig.h.in.  If
you ever looked at the man build files, it's pretty hacky.
