Hi all, In the GCC-4.0.3 Chapter 6 instructions it tells you to repeat the sanity checks done earlier in the Toolchain Adjustment section.
The toolchain adjustment sanity checks have changed recently, and though they pass with exactly what the book says in the toolchain adjustment, during GCC they do not. I believe this needs to be annotated somehow as it is very confusing. It works during one time and not the other. Specifically the crt.* stuff is different and nothing is returned when doing it after the GCC installation. Though I'm sure the book just means for you to do the first check and not the other 3 after GCC is installed, it should say this. I feel it is a bug in the book right now. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 09:21:00 up 1 day, 14:37, 5 users, load average: 0.03, 0.15, 0.57 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
