He still monitors the lists, apparently, or at least checks in now and then. He sent me this message: "Hi. I have looked at LFS lists and see that it is going to release with linux-2.6.35 please note that by doing so, you'll hit a bug for owners of the same kind of motherboard as in my home computer the bug is that the e1000e driver will drop all packets" I didn't get to verify the above, but I assume he knows what he's talking about.
