What does "a working implementation" refer to in your first message?  Is it an 
existing version?  If so, which one?

What does "the exiting jh branch of lfs" refer to?  The proposed JH 
--with-sysroot changes?

I'm sure it's my own misunderstanding; I only ask because it _sounds_ like you 
went from "reluctant to change" to "recommending we use" in the space of a 
morning.  I just wanted to clarify the antecedents so I know what to expect for 
my own work.
