I hope it will be that simple.  Kay Sievers says: "The udev built from 
the systemd source tree will stay compatible with non-systemd init 
systems for a long time"  but he also says about a udev only install: 
"Systemd.tar needs to be built, and the udev parts installed."  There is 
no assurance yet that the installation of the udev only portions of the 
new package will be non-trivial.
