Greetings, In chapter 5 binutils, --disable-werror exists and the explanation is there.
However, in chapter 6, if someone is using optimizations, O3 specifically, the build will fail without using --disable-werror. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=918189 The bug comments state that O3 aggressive inlining is the culprit.
