I built the LFS system and it does not want to reconise the NIC. I
have an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe motherboard with a built in Yukon 1GB NIC. I
compiled the kernel with support for this card. Still, on booting, the
system says it cannot find eth0. I downloaded the sk98lin driver and
ran the install.sh script, but it failed. The logs show this:
Jul 12 01:08:05 lfs kobject_register failed for skge (-17)
Jul 12 01:08:05 lfs
Jul 12 01:08:05 lfs Call Trace:<ffffffff8023c056>{kobject_register+70} <ffffffff

ystem_call+126}

Anyone know a reason for this. Is it NIC specific or LFS specific?
Thanks,
