I tried searching the archive - usually it just timed out.
I did get one hit on one search which said my problem was simple
and I should just check the FAQ.
I am therefore forced to try where everyone will be busy.

Errors during first compile of gcc - Feb 20, 2006

On page 46 of LFS 2nd Edition
Doing command: make BOOT_LDFLAGS="-static" bootstrap
Errors reported:
