I forgot to answer this.
I went back to the book and did the halusers part and now it works. But I
didn't do it the first time because it says that if you are going to use
linux-pam, you must skip that part. That's why I was asking about linux-pam.
I tried so that it said you needed Linux-PAM and pam_console. The
important part is pam_console. If you can think of a better way to
word this, let me know.
