That's absolutely true. LFS is only ever tested on x86. That said, if
you know what you're doing, you can natively build an x86_64 system.
You just have to know where to deviate from the book.
All right, now I know my options.
Nevertheless it should be pointed out in the book that it has been
tested only in x86 machines.
