Thanks ken this explains why my system cant understand it. Im kinda
chopping up some of the scripts to customise them to my system. So i
needed in my case to remove the loadproc and everything worked fine.

Take a look in /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions (the specification of
rc_functions is in /etc/sysconfig/rc). It's a standard function
within the LFS bootscripts.
