Hi all! Just a very probably silly question:
In the preface of lfs-book iv. Host system requirements there is listed minimum gcc version is gcc-2.95.3 and Linux Kernel-2.6.x (having been compiled with Gcc-3.0 or greater), so the question is shouldn't be changed the gcc minum version from 2.95.3 to 3.0 since the host Kernel needs to be compiled with a Gcc-3.0 version (for TLS support in Binutils and the Native POSIX Threading Library (NTPL) test suite segaults with a kernel compiled with previous versions of gcc)? Here listed (just to say) the result of version-check on my host (lfs-20060906 with some modifications): bash, version 3.2.1(1)-release Binutils: version 2.17 bzip2, Version 1.0.3, 15-Feb-2005.
