I think I'm going to start over.  LFS-6.3 and a daily snapshot of BLFS
you say?  Sounds good!  I'll be out of touch for a week or so as my
time to do this is limited right now, but I'll certainly let you know
how it turns out.

I usually only build fresh from the LFS LiveCD and an empty hard disk.
 I never thought to look at the config for it, maybe I'll check it out
- thanks for the advice.  Any particular version  of the CD?  This
last build I performed using lfslivecd-x86-6.3-r2052.  I didn't try to
automate it, which may have been my downfall as sometimes we're known
to be sloppy in following directions (:-o).
