I am following the lfs 6.5 and am at the point of running the check of glibc's second pass. The book mentions certain common failures, but I am interested in opinions of these failures. The host is a 700mhz Celeron with 192MB of ram, running a Debian "Lenny" livecd, with extra packages for developing. The book has been followed verbatium to this point.
