If you want to use CLFS and current LFS tools, gcc 4.7 has changed
it's config layout for targets different from gcc 4.6 which CLFS uses.
You will need to look at the threads and find out what needs to be
changed. A simple sed won't do and the current patch for gcc 4.6 will
not work for 4.7.
A considerable amount of work will be done on your end if you really
require gcc 4.7, which is a good upgrade from 4.6. As far as eglibc vs
glibc, eglibc
has its own patches to use for targets which glbc, wouldn't accept
upstream, and I don't know how that is going since Ulrich Drepper
isn't head of that anymore.
