Students of the Social Communications Media Department at the Sophia Polytechnic, Peddar Road, Mumbai have made 4 documentaries this year, including one on homosexuality called 'enGAYging Lives' (partly funded by the Humsafar Trust) and another on CSA. Some of the people featuring in the docus are your friends on these groups. For people interested in the effects of partition, on Sindhi culture and language, in particular, or those who are concerned about our disappearing languages, I am told there is also a docu called 'Sindhustani'. The docus are showing back-to-back on 25-28 February at their institute. Here's the schedule:http://tinyurl.com/SodoQu
And there's a story about the docus at: http://www.mid-day.com/whatson/2010/feb/250210-Social-Communications-Media-heterosexual-one.htm Go, watch but remember there's also a Sunday High this weekend, from 6pm onwards at the Humsafar-CEFE office in Santacruz WEST.
