It should mention it adds support for OPTIONS requests.
Actually, my original version of this patch sent "501 not implemented"
as reply to all requests - that was enough to "Handle requests from
server to client" as in not fuck up the state and be confused about what
has happened, as it did before :-) The case I wrote the code for
initially worked just fine with such a stub reply, but the patch by
Tommy replied with 200 ok, so I changed it to do such replies for
options for now.
Anyway, ok to push with the message amended?
Sure, next should be factored a bit since that function is growing too
much. Please push with the amended message for now =)
