OK folks, it's that time again -- we need to start thinking about releasing 0.9.
Firstly, congratulations to all of you for all your hard work! 3200+ commits since we spun off 0.8 and things are looking better than ever. My plan is to have a beta 1 ready for sometime in the next week or so, with potentially a follow-up beta 2 approximately 2- to 3- weeks later should it prove necessary. While FATE is very nicely green of late (modulo the typical clang- and gcc- trunk build instability), there are a few things I would like addressed and/or fixed before the beta 1 rollout: 1. I spoke with Reinhard privately and he has indicated that there is a lengthy list of CVEs filed against libavcodec, listed here: http://bugs.debian.org/688847 -- has someone started reviewing these already? 2. Can someone have a poke at the ARMv7a VC-1 valgrind FATE failure? (maybe this can wait for beta 2) 3. Is the MSVC stuff all ready to go now? I haven't been tracking this closely. 4. Diego noted something about doxygen fixups -- not clear what was left to do here. Diego? I'm almost certain this list is incomplete, and I'm also hoping there weren't any more major additions before 0.9. Anything else people want added to that list, please chime in now or very soon. I'd like to get this ball rolling next week if possible. Thanks, -- Sean McG. _______________________________________________ libav-devel mailing list libav-devel@libav.org https://lists.libav.org/mailman/listinfo/libav-devel
