Somewhat orthogonal to this patch(set), but maybe it would be nice to prepare validation, e.g. add a fate test to see how far from lossless we are. I'm also curious to know how the current patch behaves stddev-wise, e.g. compared to just rescaling the decoded output of the core DTS file. It probably requires getting a DTS-HDsomething sample, decode it with a DTS-sanctioned decoder and make the resulting PCM file available.
