This summer we participated in the Outreach Program for Women (OPW) [1]. We had three interns - Alexandra, Katerina, and Nidhi - working on different tasks.
Nidhi worked on a host of different small tasks, managed to get about two dozen patches into libav, and greatly improved her software development skillset. Katerina started with some small tasks and then moved on to replacing our RealMedia demuxer. Alexandra tackled replacing our ASF demuxer. Both demuxers are still being worked on and nearing completion. Go for it, girls, we sure as hell want to see those old crufty demuxers replaced by modern implementations! It was fun to have you around and the community was richer for it, hope to see you back soon!
