I did more testing and found the code only get this error on Pi5 with 1 GB memory (works on 2, 4 and 8 GB models ). I assume (without ANY proof) that avdevice_register_all() fails to instantiate the underlying processes but since it does not e return a status you don’t know until the open call. The error message of “No such process” make more since in that context.
If this is the case I suggest FFmpeg developers add a return code to avdevice_register_all().
