Hi,

I have an application that uses a FastVDO SmartCapture device to stream live
video to a Wowza server. On the server, it is being streamed live and also
recorded for archive.

I would like to be able to add a watermark image to the video either before it
is sent to the server or as it is being recorded. I have tried to add a
watermark after it has been recorded which was successful but the process takes
too long and is too resource intensive to do on any sort of scale. I couldn't
find a way to just add the watermark without having to re-transcode the video.

The broadcast client is running in java on a windows netbook. It communicates
with the fastVDO device using jni and receives the raw video & audio packets
which it then packages into an rtp stream to send to the server. If possible,
I would like to be able to pass the raw video packets through the ffmpeg
avfilter, to add the watermark image, before they are added to the stream if
this is possible.

The other option would be do it on the Wowza server and intercept the video
packets there and do the same thing.

I am also open to other suggestions.

Roger.
