yeah.!
I downloaded the tutorials from dranger and compiled tutorial 1; it extracted 
first 5 frames in to ppm format, yeah.. its very nice.. I need to get the pixel 
values of those images..
any ideas..?

ffmpeg is probably not the easiest way to accomplish what you want.

Try google "C++ read bmp"
