Hi, No luck with the patch, I've tried this on both 64bit and 32bit ubuntu 8.04. Worth noting this isn't just affecting the propriatry drivers it fails on the ati/radeon open source driver. I installed a newer version of the open source driver to get 3D acceleration and it appears to be the libgl-mesa-dri package that both gets 3D working and breaks the libstdc++. I might try asking some questions elsewhere as this isn't really your problem to solve. Thanks so much for help thus far. It's a pity that it's difficult to get nvidia based embbeded boards, This is a 19" integrated touch screen pc that I'm working with hence not being able to simply drop a new video card in.
