I was a bit ashame to join this thread already full of reply and lovely discussions :) Anyway, yes I did a GStreamer backend for my employer for the awful reasons Lennart said :-) I am also GNOME Media maintainter, but quite bad at it, due to lack of time as well, especially during summer..
