On the other hand, I wouldn't vote for "change for the sake of  
change". :)

If there's no identifiable benefit apart from warm fuzzies then I'd  
stick with CVS. Proper tagging is one of few immediate benefits I can  
think of (although renaming and atomic commits are nice to have).
