From: Blau, Judith <judith_b...@unc.edu> San Francisco was the pioneer when it adopted CEDAW. and a few other US cities have followed, adopting international human rights treaties, notably the Convention on the Rights of Children.
This week, the Human Rights Center of Chapel Hill & Carrboro successfully petitioned Chapel Hill, NC to adopt the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers and their Families. This is good news because we can more assertively pursue cases of wage theft and discrimination, with the support of the Town. Judith Blau, Director. HRC -CH&C
