Since the original deadline came and the 667 entries were registered it has
seemed to me that the real value of immediate interest is what kinds of
cross-cutting insights we can gain - from that entire population - as regards
the State of Civic Ideation.

Does anyone have a mechanism for digesting all the content from the proposals
on the 51 item short list (perhaps a representative subset, and which will be
getting further refinement in the next week) into a spread sheet or other
analyzable set?

I can think of many queries that might provide useful insights regarding
recurring themes, and many other interesting features.

Any suggestions on how we might collaborate to explore this "terra incognito."

Subject: [cfabrigade] Semi-Finalists - Knight News Challenge on strengthening
the Internet for free expression and innovation

Knight announced their 53 semi-finalists today:

They had a whopping 667 entries. Now if we could get the list of applicants and
invite them to join online groups like Liberationtech and CfA Brigade as
consolation prize, the idea sharing and connecting beyond the contest could
continue for 614 of us. :-)
