If you’re a journalist or activist, there’s a good chance you’re under
physical surveillance. There’s also a good chance you don’t even know it.

There are three kinds of physical surveillance. The first type is
covert. Your adversary--police or corporate--wants to know what you are
up to; they don’t want you to know you are being followed. The second
type is when they *want* you to know you are being followed, in order to
intimidate you. The third type is sabotage, actively interfering with
your life because they want to destroy you.

This field guide focuses on detecting covert surveillance, and suggests
countermeasures suitable for a law-abiding journalist or activist to take.
