Hi all,
Our last seminar of the quarter is *December 7th*, from *4-5pm*, in the
*Mackenzie
Room* on the 3rd floor of the Huang Engineering Center. Join Cyber
Initiative co-Director Professor Dan Boneh and *author, researcher, and
philosopher Jaron Lanier* to discuss the science, economics, and ethics of
personal, corporate, and government data ownership. Jaron's most recent
book, "Who Owns the Future?" addresses these issues, which are complicated
by end-to-end encryption, tracking technologies, and differing
international laws on data ownership. Jaron was on campus in April as part
of "The Demo", and is a thought-provoking and engaging speaker. RSVP here:
