The Open Technology Fund (OTF)’s Information Controls Fellowship (ICFP) is now accepting applications. The deadline is March 19, 2017.
About the program: Working with a host organization of their choosing, fellows in OTF’s Information Controls Fellowship Program (ICFP) conduct research and produce outputs on the topic of information controls - specifically repressive internet censorship and surveillance. ICFP fellows can work with their host organization on a wide range of topics such as censorship tracking and measurement techniques, reverse-engineering targeted malware attacks on at-risk groups, and development of novel circumvention tools, among others. Application deadline: March 19, 2017 Two tiers: “Senior fellows” and “seasonal fellows” Duration of fellowship: 3, 6, or 12 months Monthly stipend: $2,500 OR $4,200 USD/month Travel stipend of $2,500 OR $5,000 USD (senior fellows only) For more info and how to apply: https://www.opentech.fund/requests/icfp
