I am opposed to a wage freeze. Wage freezes are anti-Libertarian.

If you have more employees than you need you lay them off.

If I am elected governor I plan a great reduction in the state payroll, but
not through a wage freeze. Through shedding un-necessary employees and
through attrition.

A wage freeze just makes enemies, telling employees that they will not be
getting the money they thought they were getting and they think they are
entitled to receive.

You should treat well the employees that you have, and not have more
employees than you need.
